1. Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing or using Music Tools Lab, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site. You must be legally able to accept these terms in your location. If you use Music Tools Lab for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept the terms for that organization.
2. What Music Tools Lab provides
Music Tools Lab provides browser-based utilities for tempo measurement, broad music analysis, playlist planning and audio editing. Most audio operations run locally on your device. Catalog search features retrieve publicly available track metadata from a third-party service.
The service is provided for creative, educational and informational use. Results such as BPM, musical key, energy and genre are estimates that can vary with the recording, arrangement, browser and interpretation. Review the methodology and accuracy notes before relying on an automatic result.
3. Your audio and your responsibilities
You retain any rights you hold in audio or library files used with the tools. You are responsible for making sure you have permission to use, edit, convert, download or otherwise process that material. Local browser processing does not grant a right to copy or modify someone else's work.
You are also responsible for checking exported files before deleting an original, publishing a mix, performing live or making a production decision. Keep an unchanged backup of important source material.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Music Tools Lab to violate law or another person's rights; distribute malware; interfere with the site or its infrastructure; bypass rate, access or security controls; scrape or overload endpoints in an abusive way; misrepresent automatic estimates as certified measurements; or attempt to extract content from third-party services contrary to their terms.
You may link to public Music Tools Lab pages. Automated access must be reasonable, respect robots instructions and avoid disrupting other visitors.
5. Third-party services and links
Playlist search can depend on Apple catalog data, and the site is delivered through Cloudflare infrastructure. External reference links are provided for convenience and context. Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and Music Tools Lab does not control their availability, content or data practices.
Track titles, artists, artwork and other catalog metadata belong to their respective rights holders. A search result is not an endorsement and does not grant playback, synchronization or distribution rights.
6. Music Tools Lab content and software
The Music Tools Lab name, interface, original written guidance and other site materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Open-source software included in the service remains subject to its own license notices. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the public site for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership of the service or its content.
7. Availability and changes
We may add, change, limit or discontinue a feature, supported format or third-party integration. Browser support and local device resources can affect whether a file decodes or an export completes. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law or address misuse.
8. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Music Tools Lab is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or accuracy. We do not guarantee that an analysis, catalog result or exported file will satisfy a specific professional, technical or legal requirement.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Music Tools Lab and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, profits, opportunities or goodwill arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Updates and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.
For a question about these terms or a problem with the service, follow the instructions on the Contact page. Do not include confidential information or audio files in a public message.
